Going through Pinterest, I saw a post for Lasagna Cups but like most recipes I pin, I forgot all about it! But when we went to make some Lasagna Soup, I decided to use leftover won-ton wrappers from our Applebee’s Imitation Wonton Tacos  (recipe for that coming soon) to make up our own version. These were awesome (my 14 yr old said)!

Lasagna Cup Bites

  • 1/4- 1/2 lb of ground meat (we used turkey)
  • 1/4 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Poultry Seasoning (OR 1/2 tsp Sage and 1/2 tsp garlic)
  • 1 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 small can of diced green chilies
  • 1 package won-ton wrappers
  • 1/2 container of Kraft Philadelphia Cooking Cream Tomato And Basil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan shredded cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cook your ground meat and onions; seasoning it with salt and pepper to taste. In a small stock pot warm up your tomato sauce and add in the Italian seasoning and poultry seasoning mixture. Stir until blended. If needed, lightly spray your cupcake pan. Pop in one wonton wrapper and push into the pan using a spoon or a Pampered Chef tool as shown in photo.

Filling the cups: it depends on your cupcake pan  (in this case, I used a mini one from Pampered Chef) on how much stuffing to use. Just be sure to not OVER fill or it will bubble over the wontons. First add in a 1/2 TBS of Philadelphia Cream Cheese then a small scoop of ground meat, 1 tsp of green chilies, 1 TBS of the tomato sauce, and a layer of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the top with the Parmesan Shredded Cheese.

Bake at 375* for about 10-15 minutes- checking on them often to avoid burning. Serve hot!
